In the final minutes of July 22 1991, Milwaukee police were led to 924 N 25th Street Apartment 213 by a man who claimed he was threatened and handcuffed by the resident. Discoveries made during a preliminary search of the residence resulted in an arrest and investigation that would define one of the most difficult chapters in the city’s history. This is a digital reconstruction of that residence as it appeared at the time of the initial investigation, based on photographs, reports, trial records, and recovered evidence. Objects within the space include contextual information drawn from investigative documentation, detailing what was known during the investigation and what was later established. The purpose of this project is documentation, study, and preservation. Viewer discretion is advised.
Intended Audience:
Researchers and students of criminology, forensic science, or criminal history.
True crime enthusiasts interested in detailed, authentic reconstructions.
Anyone seeking a digital preservation of a historically documented crime scene.
