When Knight Theomar falls in a bloody battle, his life ends—but his real battle begins. A strange power calls to him from the darkness: Varthos, guardian of the afterlife. Against his will, Theomar is sent back to face ancient creatures, dark cults, and forgotten horrors in distorted worlds.

With each battle, he learns the rules of this new existence: magical weapons, strange potions, the loss of life – and the realization that failure is part of the journey. But the deeper he ventures, the clearer it becomes to him that it is not only his enemies who are dangerous, but also the gaps in the plan of the power he serves.

The Last Oath tells of death and rebirth, of responsibility and insight – and of why knowledge is sometimes the strongest weapon. This novella not only accompanies Varthos narratively, but also prepares the reader for the game: for its cycle, its world, and its inescapable truth.
