Little LUMI Model

Lumi moves in

Little LUMI Model puts Lumi on your screen and lets her live there. She walks along the bottom of your monitor, climbs the side of the window you are typing in, hangs from your title bars, and sits down for a nap when nothing is happening.

She is simply there, doing her own thing, while you work.

What she does

• Walks, runs, sprints, skids. Full-speed dashes that stop with a puff of dust.

• Treats your desktop as terrain. Walls, ceilings, window edges, window faces — and she will dive off a title bar for no reason at all.

• Never quite idle. Head tilts, humming with floating notes, little hops, sitting down and looking around, the occasional mumble to herself.

• When a credit drops from the sky she notices, runs over, and picks it up with a chime.

64 behaviours run on 122 frames, every one of them drawn by hand.

Reacts to you

• Pat her head. Rub the top of her head with the mouse; the cursor turns into a hand and Lumi lights up.

• Pick her up, shake her, throw her across the screen. Click once and she says hello.

• Takes requests. Right-click for a specific action, or call her to your cursor from the tray icon.

What grows over time

• Affection. Days spent together and head pats add up through six stages, each unlocking new things for her to mumble.

• 50 Steam achievements. From the first hello to the thousandth credit.

Quiet while you work

• Focus mode. One right-click and Lumi settles down. Turn on the Pomodoro timer and she moves between focus and break on her own.

• Alarms. When the time comes she sounds a siren and runs around the floor for a minute so you cannot miss it. She can also call out the hour.

• Favours. Register something you do often, like showing the desktop, and Lumi will hop and do it for you when asked.

• Hides on her own in front of full-screen apps. No interruptions during games or screen sharing.

Comes in numbers

Summon as many Lumis as your desktop can hold. With two or more they chat, high-five, share credits, march in a line, gather on call, and play tag.

Optional extras

Off by default, but there are special features you can switch on.

• Bongo Lumi mode. A desk-bound Lumi sits in the corner and hits the bongos every time you type or move the mouse.

• Floating Garden. Draw islands and ladders on your screen and Lumi walks them, climbs them, and settles on top.

• Pythagoras game. Place platforms, trampolines, walls and ladders to send Lumi to the goal.

• Window toss. Lumi picks up a window and throws it off the screen.

Subscribe to a character someone else drew on the Steam Workshop and it walks the desktop next to Lumi.

Built to be left alone

• Nothing to install. The Java runtime ships inside. No separate download, no account, no internet connection.

• Quiet by default. No launcher, no login, no notifications, no background service. Notifications only happen if you turn them on.

• You choose her playground. Pick which applications she is allowed to climb.

• Five languages. Korean, English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese. Multiple monitors and display scaling are supported.
